Why Learn In A Group Environment?
Discover why learning together versus alone provides faster results.
Video Transcript: The reason I would challenge you to try to learn all these management tools together in a group versus just on your own in isolation, is because a few reasons. Number one, we all come to the table at different levels. So I always say, Think of yourself as software; if you come in at 1.0, try to get to 2.0. If you really develop your leadership, maybe or 4.0 try to get to 5.0. Because we're all at different levels, we can all take another level up, but also we learn from one another. We have different personalities, experiences, and so when we talk about things, I always have you talk about what you're learning in your action plans; when you talk about them, you now learn from someone else who has the same context you do, you're in the same workplace, but sees it a different way. That can also help you level up. Sometimes, people will say what they get most out of my classes are the conversations they have with their peers because now, once again, you have the same context. You get to see a different level; you have a different level of focus on it. So when we say get your team in the room, all have the same common language and learn together so you can all level up at your own rate.
